Superbowl Sunday is this weekend!. It is an American tradition to watch the Sunday night game and even if you have never watched football, it is a great time to gather with friends to watch!

That brings up the Super bowl parties. My big dilemma is “what to wear”. I am not so much into the team gear that some people wear, as it is not the most flattering and certainly doesn’t help your figure!

Here we go again! Just last week I woke up and just wasn’t sure what I was supposed to wear. It was that kind of day that looks like it is freezing outside. I knew I desperately wanted to wear my warm and cozy wool sweater not to mention all the accessories to go with it. My fabulous hat, gloves and scarf. However, as I bundled up and made my way out the door, I was suffocating and wanted to rip my clothes off! Now today, just one week later, the wind almost blew me over! What’s a girl to do?

I found some great layering looks thanks to Elle Magazine. Here at Greene Street we’ve got you covered and all for a lot less! Here is a little lesson in layering!

Capes are a great way to layer in this weather. By wearing another light sweater or tee underneath it will have you looking super stylish and not too hot!

I also pieced together a beautiful wool cable sweater dress under this ruffle blazer. Instant style and again not too warm but just right! You can easily take off the blazer or cape depending on your needs.

Welcome to the Greene Street Blog! We are so excited to be kicking off 2012 with a brand new website to welcome all of our amazing customers and new customers! Celebrating a new year is always a nice way to continue to do or begin to do all the things we planned but haven’t quite done.

Every New Year’s we write our New Year’s resolutions with hope that we will do as promise and in my case get more sleep . Try and start small and make your goal’s more attainable day by day and you won’t feel so overwhelmed.

Some of the common resolutions people tend to make are to:

• Lose weight, get fit, make more time for the gym, try yoga
• Save more money. Be more responsible with your cash and invest it.
• Get organized

Many of these goals can be attained by coming right into our stores and consigning those clothes that just don’t fit anymore. Although we all wish they would. You can do it, let it go! This takes care of getting organized! This also takes care of the saving money resolution.
